ABOUT ME I am a Hypnotherapist / Counselor living and working in Glasgow, Scotland I received my qualification in
Hypnotherapy in 1989 after successfully completing the course devised
and developed by Mr. Neil French who is the founder and secretary of the
International Association of Hypno-Analysts. I offer a professional and eclectic
approach to those experiencing difficulties with living, and to this end
I am continually adding to and developing my understanding of the human
condition, through my practice, personal observations and external
training. In addition to my diploma in
Hypnotherapy I have received certification in Abnormal Psychology and Higher
National Certificate in Counselling, from Motherwell College in
Scotland, which covered the Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral,
Humanistic, and Transactional Analysis approaches to therapy. |

Really,
there are only 5 types of cases I deal with.
|
|
| 1
People who are doing something they
would rather not be doing. i.e.
Individuals with addiction related difficulties (e.g. smoking, eating,
drinking). People
with problems with anger management, and those who find it difficult to
Relax or cope in certain situations. 2. People who are unable to do something they wish to: Public
speaking, travel in aircraft, cars, buses, deal with social situations
(parties, groups), sexual difficulties driving and exam nerves. 3. People suffering
from psychosomatic disorders that are stress induced: Migraine,
irritable bowel syndrome, psoriasis, asthma. 4. People who
require help in connection with their professional or
sports performance: Motivation,
sales etc. 5. People who are
experiencing difficulties with living or any of its component par
All of us. |

These are not fixed categories nor should the above be viewed as restrictive
|
|
| e.g..,
sexual problems can appear in the "can’t
do"
or "can’t
stop doing"
categories,. Asthma
can be induced by an anxiety attack caused by pressure at work. An
individual may have lost their appetite for work because their weight
has caused the development of low self-esteem. |
